Whether you are a first generation college attendee or the last in the family the be heading off to college, there will be new and confusing terminology used to explain your financial aid options. We want to give you a quick reference for common terms that need may need more explanation and additional guidance.
To be considered for all available financial aid, students must apply for financial aid by completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA®).
The Office of Financial Aid reviews the FAFSA® and notifies students of their financial aid award. All awards are made on the assumption that the student will attend Eckerd College as a full time student. Awards may be adjusted for enrollment of less than full time. The financial aid award includes all funds that the student is eligible to receive. Any questions, concerns or appeals of financial aid decisions should be directed to the Office of Financial Aid.
Currently attending students will receive an email notification when their upcoming year's FAFSA® has been processed and their Financial Aid award is available to view on their Financial Aid Self Service Portal.
